About the author, Teresa Joyce Jackson
Originally from Shawnee, Oklahoma, I was born on Beltaine in the year of the Dragon. I’ve been a cheerleader, a legal secretary, a teacher. I’ve scooped and served ice cream in an ice cream parlor, played lead guitar for an all-girls rock band, and even had my own secretarial service. One of my favorite but most challenging jobs was as editor of an in-house newsletter for Walt Disney World Resorts. I’ve also written and produced the monthly newsletter and quarterly magazine for a metaphysical bookstore in Orlando, Florida. Later in life, I graduated from the University of Central Florida with an Honors Degree in Elementary Education. For my thesis, I wrote a book about a thematic, holistic teaching method.
I now live in the deliciously gorgeous mountains of Western North Carolina, surrounded by trees—wonderful, wonderful trees—with my husband and rescued Border collie, Ozzie. I’m a mother and grandmother. And, whether my family be by blood or heart, I love them all, wherever they may be—whether here in this reality or in the Otherworld.
I enjoy reading, exploring, and writing about the magic in life. Some of my favorite topics include faery traditions, Cherokee and Celtic myths and lore, and Druid and earth-based traditions.
Being a lifelong explorer of the paranormal and supernatural, I believe magical, mystical events play before us all the time. It is my hope that each of you develop your own innate abilities so you can perceive magic everywhere. Once you do, you’ll realize that the paranormal is normal and supernatural is natural, and you’ll open your life to a new world of “magical” possibilities.
